Faux Fur Winter Coats (& Festive Things to Do in London)

Hope you all are having a very happy December so far! It finally feels like there’s some joy in the air after quite the sh*tty year. London is still my favorite city at Christmas time. Despite covid, everything feels super festive. The hotels are decorated, Bond and Regents street are decked out per usual, and thankfully restaurants and pubs have reopened after our second lockdown.

As pretty as London is this time of year, it’s equally as cold! For our annual Christmas tea at Fortnum and Masons we kicked off the holiday season with a nice champagne tea and very necessary Faux Fur Coats.

Stand Studio is still my top pick for Faux Fur Coats. You can hardly tell they aren’t real and are made super well & warm. I bought this deep chocolate belted coat last year during Black Friday. They’ve redone it again this year in a more caramel brown tone. Or if you’re after this exact color way, they also make my same coat just without the belt.

Budget wise, you may bet better off getting this basically identically Dupe from Topshop. It still surprisers me how high-street brands are able to get away with taking designs, but ’tis the season I guess… I’m not sure how warm it is, but if it’s as heavy as it is similar, you should be good.

I’ve also linked a few more good coats for winter below. I’ve kept things super classic and warm. This time of year I usually rotate between a giant Faux Fur Coat, and cosy teddy, a long camel trench, and a quality puffer.

If you’re in London, hopefully you’re getting to take advantage of all the festivities. Of course I love a cute tea at Fortnum and Mason and would also recommend these as well:
