Maybe it’s because it reminds me of Chanel, maybe it’s because it’s warm, chic, and made-for-fall, but I’m on a major tweed kick at the moment and loved this outfit from Paris! For our first official day of Paris Fashion Week we checked into the Hilton Opera, unpacked, and headed to the Arch du Triomph — our first shoot location of the day! Completely unplanned, Juliet and I both ended up in tweed — a texture to note if you want to stay on trend for fall. Just like my tweed dress from London Fashion Week, this dress is also from Zara. I managed to track the exact dress down HERE and found lots of other tweed options, including Juliet’s linked below!
In addition to tweed, baker boy hats are having another repeat moment… along with belt bags, one of this year’s most popular trends. For lots of walking and a full day of shoots, I paired my tweed dress with Stuart Weitzman OTK boots (very thankful I went with flat shoes for walking)— Then after lunch at L’Avenue, ended up swapping my Chanel for Juliet’s Chanel belt bag. I never thought I’d actually become a fan of the “Fanny” pack look, or even be able to pull it off for that matter. But like I mentioned during LFW, it’s even more functional than it is trendy, and paired with the right basics, actually quite wearable during fall. The Chanel might be out of budget for most of us, so I’ve also linked some similar styles to achieve the same look below. Also try ZARA (here) they have lots of options including my fanny pack from this LFW post.
Now that I’m stuck in recovery mode for a bit longer than originally planned I’m even more grateful for this quick trip to Paris and all the experiences I’ve had this past year. I’m praying to be back in London soon. It’s my absolute FAVORITE in the fall, but that’s life, you roll with the punches, and I’m making the most this sunny time in California with my birthday around the corner!
