It’s been absolutely freezing these past few weeks, which always makes it even trickier to figure out what to wear on a night out. Do you bundle up in a turtleneck? Skip your plans and stay in? Ever since the move to London I’ve been embracing the bodysuit look. I shared one of my favorite white styles HERE, and have now crossed over to the dark side with this lacy black look.
To be completely transparent, its hard to dress sexy when you’re freezing. My style is more conservative to begin with, but throw in 20-degree temps and I’ll be as covered up as they come. I love the lace black bodysuit look because it introduces evening-appropriate elements that can be dressed up or down. I wore this back bodysuit (only a few sizes left! & in medium HERE) for New Year’s this year, to a fun girl’s dinner at Bob Bob Richard, and a few other times for dinner & drinks. It’s become my winter-time, go-to look, and feels a bit more mature when styled over a lacy, black bra.
No matter where you live or who you are, every lady needs a pair of strappy black heels. It’s sort of the “White T-shirt” of shoes, ready to be thrown on with jeans at any given moment. I’ve had this DVF pair for quite some time now, but can’t even tell you how many times I’ve turned to them. The heel is comfy, they can be dressed up or down, and they go with just about everything. Since these are seasons old they aren’t available anymore, but I’ve linked several timeless styles along with the rest of this black lace bodysuit look in case you’re in the market! If you’re looking for a designer splurge, these Alaïa heels would be my top pick, followed by these Stuart Weitzman’s on-sale 20% off, then these look-alike Sam Edelmans at only a fraction of the price!
