London Fashion Week has been an incredible whirlwind (more on that coming to the blog very soon!) but at the beginning of the month, I spent a few weeks in of Dallas, heading downtown in this pink and black combo- a look I ended up re-styling for fashion week!
With winter still very much upon us and spring quickly approaching, I bundled up in head to toe black with a pop of pink for personality. I love my black basics along with this year’s baker boy hat trend, but this year my all-time favorite piece has been this pink Maje coat, now 50% off! I love wearing it dressed up or down like I styled in this blog post HERE. It’s definitely one of those transitional pieces I’ll be styling well through winter and way into spring — linked below along with some of my other pink coat picks!
Now that I’ve been in London going on 7 months now, I’ve been loving supporting London based brands! After months of needing an updated little black bag, I finally settled on this JW Anderson style that I absolutely love. A lot of the time brands release an “it” item that goes to the top of every trendsetter’s wish list, but JW Anderson’s timelessness sold me in the end. I love the chain detailing and subtle gold hardware. When in doubt, I prefer to go with something understated over trendy to guarantee I’ll get my money’s worth and wear it years on end. If there’s a trend I absolutely love, like last year’s Gucci belt and mules – I’ll aim to hop on the bandwagon as early as I can to extend the wear time as long as possible. Otherwise skip it all together, and stick with something sophisticated and timeless!
If an item that I share, like this pink Maje coat, ever goes on sale and you want to snag it before it sells out, be sure to follow me on Instagram (@ericaaulds) and the LiketoKnowit App. I share all of my outfits along with sale alerts, so you’ll be the first to know if prices ever drop!
