I’m absolutely loving living in London! There are a few things I’ve had to adjust to quickly like taking public transportation everywhere and seeing Christmas decor pop up in October, but I’m in love with the charm of all of the beautiful streets and can’t get over the realness of the seasons. It’s been ages since I’ve experienced actual fall. Not just pumpkin spiced lattes and cozy scented candles, but a real crispness to the air, changing leaves, and layering! One of the things I’m most thankful for since moving here is getting to dress for fall properly. I’ve already started breaking out all of my coziest layers, shifting my wardrobe to make room for my coats, and making way for my favorite fall skirts!
Jeans and sweaters are always an easy fall combination, but there’s something about a cozy skirt combo that I love! Not only are they great if you’re craving fall and the weather hasn’t quite adjusted yet. But they’re super easy to layer with turtlenecks, sweaters, and your favorite fall coats.
After passing by this pink Maje skirt countless times on walks through Notting Hill, the pink corduroy was too good to pass up. Still in a time of transitioning, I styled it with some of my classic go-to’s: A Burberry trench, simple white turtleneck, circle bag, and block heels. But as it starts to feel more and more like fall, I can’t wait to layer it with tights, boots, an uber chunky sweater, and a newsboy hat! It’s now on sale 25% off with code “FRIENDS” + I’ve linked lots of similar styles for as low as $17 below!
I’m really used to toning down my color palette as this time of year approaches too. Maybe as a way to make it feel cooler than it actually is or feeling like I need to assimilate into a darker season? Whatever the reason, this skirt has helped me break that mold. Yes, it’s lighter than most of the fall clothes I’m used to, but I love the rich texture and the luxe lightness that it brings to fall!
