Today’s post is coming to you from a cozy little picnic right in the middle of Hyde Park! Since I arrived, It’s been quite dreary here in London, but the sun finally decided to come out and it’s been absolutely beautiful! Once winter hits, I’m sure I’ll be layering on as many coats as possible, but until them, I’m savoring every ounce of sunshine and bringing back all of my favorite summer dresses!
This Red equipment dress is one of my classic favorites. I wore it back during my trip to Charleston and felt like it fit in perfectly in the land of red, white, and blue. I’m a big advocate of any classic silhouette. Especially when things are breezy and classy, and have a certain ageless element. When making wardrobe investments, I try to seek out pieces that can easily transition from work mode to brunch and also have an understated “it” factor that stands the test of time. I scored this Equipment dress at a downtown LA sample sale, but I found it here on sale & rounded up a few other shirt dresses below!
According to trend reports, red is a key color to have on your radar for the rest of the year. We’re seeing it in boots, bags, pants, and tops, even fashion-forward ensembles consisting of all of the above. While head to toe red isn’t necessarily my thing, one key piece is something I can certainly get on board with. Both bold and vivacious, it’s a hue that looks striking on everyone. Whether you’re inspired by runway-influenced pieces or more classic looks like this dress, it’s a hue to consider when livening up your wardrobe! I have a few rouge pieces that I’ve added to my personal collection including this equipment dress, this Red Velvet Maje Dress, and this OTS top that I’ve been wearing on repeat all summer, but I’ve rounded up a few more red pieces to have on my radar below.
As we ease out of summer and make our way towards fall, I’m refusing to let go of some of my favorite accessories. My #1 most worn bag of the year is finally back in stock! If you’re loving the white you’ll have to join a waitlist, but it also comes in black, blue, brown, yellow, and pink! These glasses are from Madewell, a great $30 buy, and these Dior shoes are no longer in season, but I’ve linked a few similar finds at various price points below!
Hope you’re enjoying the last of this beautiful summer season! I’m off to the Notting Hill Carnival but until next time!
