Anyone else live in the same color scheme day after day this time of year? You could pretty much find me in a black, cream, or tan sweater at least two days a week and while I definitely get my moneys worth out of classic, neutral staples I’m all for breaking the traditional mold every now and then. Insert: the blue hue. I don’t know why I haven’t incorporated much of this cooler color into any aspect of my wardrobe before, but it comes off as super crisp, and very refreshing throughout the colder days of winter.

In addition to a freshened up color scheme, I’m loving this season’s latest craze: the bell sleeve. Normally we see this in the form of a blouse or dress, but I’m loving the unconventional mix up of bell sleeves on a super chunky sweater. You could go one of two ways with this looser-than-normal style: embrace the flow and pair it with a looser fitting trouser like the silk floral pants I wore in last week’s post or balance out the billow and style the free flowing sweater with a sleek skinny pant and a calf hugging boots like the pair of winter white skinny jeans and Stuart Weitzmans that I’m wearing.

Unfortunately I can’t find this H&M sweater that I scored while in San Francisco, it may only be available in store, but if you’re looking to freshen up you winter hue too I found several other baby blue beauties and sweaters with bell sleeves that serve the exact same purpose as the one I’m wearing. Also for all you pink lovers out there, I came across a few blush options that I’ve linked below too!

xx Erica

I love that ice-y blue shade! It really is a shade you can wear in all four seasons! xx Rox-Anne, Celebratingthislife.ca

The shade of the sweater is so beautiful! Baby blue is my favorite color. I’m not a big fan of bell sleeves though. They look amazing but I bet it’s not easy to fit through the coat’s sleeves.

I’m loving the baby blue shade too! I always overlook the color but love the way in looks on, especially during the winter! Such a great point, I’d probably layer on a chunky scarf and throw over a poncho or beanie if temps dropped significantly, but thankfully the Los Angeles weather isn’t too harsh! xx Erica
