I’m sure I’ve said this before and I have no problem saying it again— Club Monaco is my absolute favorite retailer of the moment, and no they’re not paying me to say that! As my style continues to evolve and I keep getting a little bit older I definitely value quality pieces much more than I used to. I don’t know about you but my eye gravitates to simple yet significant staples. They really make a statement without screaming for attention and seem to leave more of a lasting footprint over fleeting trends of the moment. Club Monaco is the king, or queen for that matter, of chic, understated, all-around classics. From their wool coats, to sweaters and jumpsuits they continue to hit the nail on the head time and time again. My latest obsession?  Their silk floral pants. They’re just about the closest thing to wearing socially acceptable pajamas in public and add a bit of feminine, airy romance to what we normally see from winter style.

Keeping things day-time chic with a take on winter whites, I styled them with a ruffle blouse from Rebecca Taylor’s La Vie Collection— yet another design guru that can do no wrong. Looking to keep things classic but also take a stab at this seasons noteworthy trends? Keep the silk pants and slip on an elegant Mary Jane block heel. It’ll elevate the outfit and add even more femininity to the playful polished look. For a more business-chic ensemble appropriate for the office, slip on a nude heel or ballet flat + a leather tote and you’re good to go!

I’m a firm believer that classic pieces always make the best wardrobe investments & Holiday gifts. My favorite in particular- this Kensington Burberry Trench Coat. Although I don’t get to wear it as often as I would hope, year after year it always makes a statement that never ceases to go out of style. Club Monaco, back again with the classic designs, also makes another similar trench that is currently on sale 30% off.

Looking to add a few classic staples to your wardrobe to give it a sense of timelessness? I’m linking this winter silk infused look along with some of my favorite Club Monaco staples to set a solid foundation for creating classic, chic outfits.

xx Erica
