Now that we’re almost through October it’s safe to say we’re well on our way through Fall. We know what trends are in— the always popular over the knee boot, 80’s style “mom jeans”, and of course any and all wardrobe building basics. But just as important as identifying the season’s latest staples is finding the best pieces on a budget. There’s a time a place for making solid wardrobe investments, but today I’m turning my focus towards this season’s must have pieces— all under $100!
Over the Knee Boots: OTK boots aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Year after year, the fall/winter season rolls around and OTK boots remain all the rage. They’ve found their footing in the fashion world and are a definite must-have item in any woman’s wardrobe. Stuart Weitzman sets the standard for what all fall boots should be, but when it comes to needing a pair in black, a pair in brown, perhaps some leather, and of course color and/or suede, budget friendly look-a-likes change the game. I found these block heeled OTK’s for just $89 from Zara! They serve the same function as the sought after designer pair but for a fraction of the cost open up even more room in the budget for a few more fall finds!
Uber High-waisted Denim aka “Mom Jeans” : Denim + a sweater is my most recycled fall combo so I have no issue getting on board with this season’s comeback denim trend. When shopping for denim I typically gravitate towards Frame, Mother, AG, and Rag and Bone but completely scored after finding this Forever XI pair for just $29.90! In addition to the pair I’m wearing ASOS completely fills the void for the ultra high waisted demand with this pair and this pair– both with price tags under $50!
Sleeveless Sweaters: Fall is synonymous with sweater weather— LA not so much! To get my fix for fall I’ve been relying on sleeveless turtleneck sweaters. They possess the same cozy function and can be easily layered depending on the temps. I immediately gravitate towards this Uniqlo sweater 1. for its sleek clean fit and 2. for it’s $29.90 price tag. I’m the girl who owns just about a million white and black basic tops, and know it’s these pieces these get the most use! For simple staples under $100 I definitely recommend advantage of ASOS, Zara, and Uniqlo— currently having a major sale now through November 9th! A few of my top under $100 basics include this black with bell sleeves, this beige sweater with choker detail, this skinny striped turtleneck, this cream cable stitch sweater, and this classic black turtleneck.
The trick with budget friendly pieces is keeping things minimal and styling them with a few classic accessories. To polish off these four fall must have’s I added a simple Kate Spade Watch, carried Henri Bendel’s newest Waldorf Wallet on a Chain (Currently on sale $50 off!) and added a fall coat of Deborah Lippmann’s “Single Ladies” polish!
