There are so many things to love about fall! The holidays, festivities, cozy drinks, and traditions! One of my favorite things about the festive season is getting to pack on layers and bundle up!

Traditionally I stick with three basic coats: A black peacoat, a neutral trench, and a heavy brown shearling jacket, but I love how pastels have become the new neutral norm.

In the past, I’ve thought its best to invest my money in traditional black or brown coats to make sure they’ll go with many things and feel well worth the investment. But recently, I have found that with many of my sweaters and under layers consisting of neutral tones, adding a coat with a little bit of character or color can really bring a bundled-up look to life!

IMG_8629 To layer up for a weekend in San Francisco, without having to dress dark or dreary, I found the perfect blush toned jacket from Club Monaco. It fits pretty true to size and offers a little cushion for layers underneath. It’s a great weight for fall when the air is crisp and carries a chill.

A few of my favorite coats of the moment include: this blush wrap coat, this cream everyday coat, this Draper James peacoatthis colorful J Crew topcoat (25% off!), and this double cloth long peacoat.

If you’re looking to make a long term coat investment, don’t miss the Vince friends and family sale. They’re offering 40% off on some really beautiful pieces including this shearling coat with leather sleevesthis shearling drape coat, and this periwinkle belted coat.

Shopbop is another great source for layer-able jackets and they’re offering 40% off select styles. Take a look at this beautiful pastel coat under $150, this J.O.A coat under $200, this fierce statement coat, this cozy faux fur option, this under $100 option.

I paired this blush coat with a winter white Sando dress that is no longer available, but found this Club Monaco one that is extremely similar. Once fall hits, I tend to live in my favorite pair of jeans, so it’s nice to have a few comfortable dresses like this onethis one, this one, or this one to dress up everyday fall looks. As temperatures drop, I put away the flats and opt for tights and boots to transition my favorite pieces into winter!
